Welcome to Retrofit Shooting Accessories
Welcome to the home of High Ribs!
My name is David Connor and I would like to introduce you to the range of high ribs that we manufacture. Please take a look at this video link demonstrating the high ribs.
All of our ribs are manufactured from a carbon fibre resin composite and are very strong yet remain very lightweight so that the balance of your gun is maintained.
The standard sizes that we produce are 10mm and 20mm. We also produce an impressive 50mm rib for those shooters wanting a particularly high head position. The range is not limited to these sizes and we can produce any height and there is no extra charge for any bespoke requirements. If you have anything specific in mind please contact me and I will be glad to help. You would be amazed at some of the things that we have produced to help shooters meet their needs.
Our standard foresight bead is the red Beretta / Perazzi style but if you prefer an alternative or no bead at all then please let me know and we can accommodate this.
I prefer to speak or email each shooter looking to buy a high rib because it is important to me that the right product is selected to suit your requirements so I would urge you to contact me by either telephone or email to discuss your circumstances. I can be contacted on 07876 335557 or at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
How does a High Rib fit on your gun?
The ribs are attached to the barrels in a very simple way. Magnets are recessed in the base and there is a friction strip on the bottom which prevents any movement.
Recessed cuts in the base of the High Rib fit over the top of your existing foresight and centre bead (if you have one) so there is no need to remove them before fitting the High Rib. The High Rib simply sits over them.
To fit the rib to the barrel first try simply attaching the rib to the barrels by offering up the high rib to your existing barrels being careful not to snap the ribs together too fast. The magnets can be quite strong. When you have done this and are happy with the fit remove the rib by tipping it and then separating the barrels and rib. This is the easiest way of breaking the magnet bond.
The next stage is to simply remove the protective clear film from the friction strip on the bottom and repeating the fit as before. Keep the protective clear film for later use. This friction strip prevents any movement of the rib whilst in use.
Removal is simply the same as previously although I do recommend waiting until you barrels are fully cooled after shooting. Simply tip the rib off the barrels, and re-attach the protective clear film to prevent dust and debris sticking to the strip.
That's all there is to it!
